THE CONSTITUTION OF THE RECREATION CLUB OF
SOUTH WINDS MOBILE HOME PARK

ARTICLE 1 – NAME
The Recreation Club of the South Winds Mobile Home Park shall be hereinafter referred to as The Rec Club.
ARTICLE 2 – NATURE AND PURPOSE
The Rec Club is a non-profit organization formed to promote good fellowship and maintain a high degree of morale among the residents (both owners and renters) of the South Winds Mobile Home Park.
ARTICLE 3 – CLUB YEAR
The Rec Club year shall extend from the first of January to the thirty-first day of December within the same year.
ARTICLE 4 - OFFICERS OF THE CLUB
The elected and appointed officers of the Rec Club shall consist of the following, and shall constitute the Board of Directors of the Rec Club: (Previously Executive Board of Directors)PresidentFirst Vice-PresidentSecond Vice-President The following officers are appointed by the elected officers:SecretaryAssistant Secretary and Social ChairpersonTreasurerAssistant Treasurer and Program Chairperson
ARTICLE 5 – ELECTION OF OFFICERS
On or before the date of the Rec Club’s first meeting in November of each year, the president shall name and appoint a nominating committee to select nominees for the various offices of the ensuing year. This committee shall present its recommendations at the Club’s monthly meeting in December, following which the election will take place. If two (2) or more residents are nominated for the same office, the one chosen by secret ballot of the residents/membership shall be declared elected. The elected officers of the Club shall serve a term of two (2) years. To be eligible for election, nominees must be a homeowner within South Winds Mobile Home Park.
ARTICLE 6 – COMMITTEES OF THE REC CLUB
The committees and their membership are authorized by, and shall function in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws of the Rec Club, as well as the Rules and Regulation of South Winds Mobile Homeowners Association. The chairperson of each committee shall be appointed by the board of the Rec Club and shall be overseen by the first and second vice-presidents. Each chairperson of each committee shall be asked to provide an update at the monthly general meeting.

ARTICLE 7 – QUORUM
Thirty-five (35) residents shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business at the monthly meetings of the Rec Club.
ARTICLE 8 – AMENDMENTS TO THE REC CLUB’S CONSTITUION AND BY-LAWS
Amendments to the Constitution or By-laws of the Rec Club, shall be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the Club at least fifteen (15) days before being submitted to the residents for consideration and ratification. The secretary shall refer the proposed amendment(s) to the Board for consideration and ratification. The proposed amendment(s) shall then be submitted to the residents for approval. Ratification requires a two-thirds majority vote of those present at the monthly meeting.
